The adaptation period

At any age arriving in a new place can be daunting. When a child is away from their family for the first time, they can feel confused and a sense of having lost what seems familiar to them. The adaptation period allows the child, as well as the parents and staff, to have a certain amount of time to get to know each other.

The parents will have the opportunity to relay their child’s habits and routine to the staff. This exchange allows a trusting relationship to develop and consequently helps better accommodate the child’s needs.
